On this night, Crue fanatics came from all over the world to rock out to their favorite band. The fucking Brady Bunch? Once done with their speeches, the show began with a surprise. The heavy emphasis on the classics went over well as the crowd sang along with every word, half the time singing by themselves as vocalist Vince Neil spent a lot of time with his microphone pointed towards the crowd. It should be noted that Neil, who has often been berated for off key and sloppy vocal performances earned, on this night, a solid B. In all fairness, however, Vince was having issues with his inner ear microphone at the time and could not hear himself. It was not a stellar musical performance, yet it was highly entertaining, loud and, all in all, more than good enough to have one hell of a good time.
Some slop and mud is expected coming from the sickest and sleaziest band to ever take the stage. The band played a set of classic songs that had the audience eating out of their hand.
Vince even learned most of the words to the songs!! Even though I already knew the story from reading The Dirt, it was still great to hear Nikki tell it live, in his own words. The strongest testament to this show is that the next day I had to go online to check the rest of their tour dates to find out if I could possibly see another show on the tour sadly, no other cities convenient to me remain , and a full 24 hours later I was still buzzing with energy.

Poison coming off a 4 year hiatus was simply amazing! The energy alone from Bret Michaels working the crowd dressed in a black Poison shirt with trademark bandanna was contagious. Rikki Rockett had a super cool green kit with the Poison skull and bones on the bass drum, the bones were images of sticks creatively spelling out his name. A row of light boxes kept everything captivating and bright during the hour long daylight set.
Crue was the most visual. Being their first major tour in 7 years the anticipation was mounting as even their stage set was reported being shut up a warehouse for over two years.
